My Sweet story
This is my mom Betty. She would stand stirring for many hours during the Christmas season making these amazing, one of a kind pecan pralines for her family. Why do I call them one of a kind? I watched first hand her adding more butter, decreasing the sugar, oh too much butter until she made the perfect pecan praline. After losing her battle to Pancreatic Cancer in 2015, I continued making her delicious pralines for family and friends. After encouragement from my brother and friends my sweet little business was created in September 2020. It warms my heart to be able to carry on my precious mom’s family tradition.
Meet Karen
I’ve been a first grade teacher for over 25 years. In 2015, I lost my mom, Betty, to Pancreatic Cancer. She wasn’t just my mom, she was my best friend.

My mom always made the most delicious pecan pralines during the holidays, and being her helper was one of my biggest joys. In 2017, my first Christmas without either parent was approaching. I wanted to do something special for my brother, so I made him my first batch of pecan pralines using my mom’s recipe. As I stood at the stove, it brought back such wonderful memories of my mom. As I made more and more batches of pralines for family and friends at fun gatherings, they began to taste just like mom’s. With each batch made, wonderful memories would fill my heart with such joy!

My dream is to make Betty’s Famous Pralines a household favorite. I can promise you one thing; when I’m standing at that stove stirring a batch of delicious hand-poured pralines, they are being made with love. I was so fortunate to have had the most amazing mom who had the kindest heart. She always said to do what makes you happy, and making her pecan pralines truly fills my heart with happiness!
